Gluten-Free Pizza Night: A Slice of Joy for Every Family

Pizza night is sacred in so many homes—but when you or your kids are gluten-free, it can feel like one more thing you’ve had to give up. Trust me, I’ve been there. I remember the early days after my celiac diagnosis (and my kids gf awakening), mourning the loss of the chewy crust, the golden edges, and the ability to just “order in.” But here’s the good news…

You can still have amazing pizza. You can make memories with your kids around the table. And yes, you can even get that perfect bite—crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle, topped with your favorites.

So today, I’m sharing a super simple, totally delicious gluten-free pizza dough recipe that you can make with your kids (or on your own, let’s be real). This is the kind of recipe that becomes part of your Friday night tradition. It’s forgiving, it’s fast, and it doesn’t require any fancy ingredients.

🍕 Our Favorite Gluten-Free Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

    •    1 ½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour

    •    1 teaspoon baking powder

    •    ½ teaspoon salt

    •    1 tablespoon olive oil

    •    ½ cup warm water (add more as needed)

Instructions:

1. Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl (or mixer) , whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

2. Add the Wet Ingredients

Pour in the olive oil and warm water. Stir until a dough forms. If it’s too dry, add warm water 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough is soft but not sticky.

3. Knead and Shape

Flour a clean surface with gluten-free flour and knead the dough until smooth. Shape it into a ball, then roll it out to your desired pizza size and thickness.

4. Preheat the Oven

Set your oven to 425°F. Bake the spread out dough for 5-7 minutes (give or take depending on your oven). Don’t skip this TRUST me!!

5. Add Toppings + Bake

Top with your favorites—sauce, cheese, pepperoni, veggies, or even pineapple (we don’t judge!)—then bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy to your liking. Keep checking after 15 to make sure your pizza is perfect.

🧀 Tasty Tip

Want to take your pizza to the next level? Brush the crust with olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic powder and parm cheese before baking. It gives the edges that dreamy pizzeria flavor without the gluten.
